Hello, my name is Gerry North and I am a
university qualified and professionally registered gay counsellor in

Costs
are $100 per hour for individuals and $120 for couples. The first
couple counselling session cost $120 and is for 1.5 hours to enable

COUPLES COUNSELLING
Gay and lesbian relationships are different to our straight friends. Our bonding relationship are biologically different to straight couples. We have a different senses of career paths and personal needs. We negotiate our sexual relationship with our partners very differently to our straight friends. We have our own voice on how we perceive the world. We are unique individuals. Companionship in relationships is vastly underrated especially in long term relationships. Intimacy is not only about sex.

FRIENDSHIP & FAMILY PROBLEMS
We
all at some time have difficulties with once close friends or family
members. With counselling we can come together with a structure in place to discuss the separating issues and plan to build an ongoing relationship.
WHAT HAPPENS IN YOUR FIRST COUNSELLING SESSION?
The
first couples counselling session is 1.5 hours in duration. This gives
both of you the opportunity to express what is happening in your
relationship fully and to make sure I am the right counsellor for you.
This first 1.5 hour session is $120, with the first 30 minutes at no charge. The following weekly 1 hour sessions are $120.
Aim to have at least 5 sessions to first analyse what is not working and why. Then we look at weekly exercises for you to turn your relationship into more positive, more rewarding and happier behaviours.
The cost for
individual counselling is $100 per hour. You will have a
clearer direction after our first session together. Again we want to recognise the past and then move forward to a more positive future.
